Dr. Paula Y. George joined the staff of Clinical P.E.T. of West County on Jan. 2, 2003. She comes to the St. Louis area from Fort Wayne, IN., where she served over eight years at Fort Wayne Radiology Association, LLC, a 23-member radiology group. She was also on staff at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. For the past year, Dr. George was one of the radiology group's primary readers of PET scans performed as part of a joint venture with Parkview Hospital. Dr. George is certified with the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Radiology. In addition, she is a certified clinical densitometrist. She is on staff at St. Luke's Hospital, Department of Radiology, in Chesterfield, MO.

Originally from Richmond, VA, Dr. George resides in Chesterfield, MO. Her experience includes a fellowship in abdominal imaging, C, MRI, and ultrasound from Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. She also served a residency in diagnostic radiology and an internship in internal medicine at Duke. Dr. George received her doctorate of medicine from the University of Kansas Medical Center where she also graduated with a master's in biochemistry. She received a bachelor's in chemistry from William Jewell College in Liberty, MO.

Dr. George has served on numerous committees and most recently has been active on the Fort Wayne Radiology MRI Committee and the Breast Diagnostic Center Committee. In addition, she was the Physician Leader for Breast Cancer Care Initiative at Parkview Hospital VHA (Voluntary Hospitals of America). She is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America and the Allen County Medical Society in Fort Wayne.
